Referrals - I provide free referrals to perinatal, childbirth, and postpartum fields. The list below comprises the categories for which I provide referrals and resources. I do not refer to areas outside my field or training. I will, however, attempt to connect you with someone who DOES know about your area of concern.
Labor Professionals Assistance in finding organizations, other referral lists, and other labor support professionals that suit your needs. My goal is to help you get the care you want, not just add to my clientele. Sometimes the “fit” is not right and a client needs a doula with a different approach, personality, or skill set. I would be happy to help.
Mental Health Professionals Referrals to psychiatrists, support groups, and mental health professionals to diagnose, treat, and counsel a client suffering from any mental health issue. Resources for my referrals include (but are not limited to) PSI, Postpartum Support International, UCLA Women’s Life Center, and private practitioners.
Postpartum Doulas Referral to certified postpartum doulas in your area. Resources include DONA, DASC, and CAPPA.
Lactation Consultants Assistance with finding certified lactation educators and consultants.
Childbirth Educators Assistance with finding Certified Childbirth Educators from a variety of philosophies and organizations, including but not limited to, Lamaze, Bradley, ALACE.
Massage Therapists Referrals to prenatal and infant massage therapists in your area.
